Tasting Charley's chocolate

Tasting Charley's chocolate

Just as you are advised to swill your wine in the glass, sniff it and then sip it, tasting chocolate is similar.

When you open a bar of our high-quality single origin chocolate our advice is:

  • admire the shininess of the chocolate
  • break off a piece; which should have a clean snap
  • smell the piece and finally
  • savour it as it slowly melts in your mouth

To assist chocolate lovers to appreciate our chocolate we are introducing Charley’s Chocolate tasting packs. These can be enjoyed at home with family and friends, or perhaps you can put together a group. There will be three tasting packs in 2021.

The first tasting pack is available from the Charley’s Chocolate shop at Tasting Packs

  • 2 each of the three bars in the tasting
  • Charley’s tasting guide to record your comments.  The guide covers the range of reactions to the sight, smell, sound, taste & texture  of each chocolate in the tasting
  • Notes on the chocolate from our tasting expert Fred Schilling
  • Feedback link
