Product Overview

In Australia, cocoa only grows in a narrow coastal strip of Far North Queensland. This is Charley’s home!  

Shannonvale Cocoa Beans are grown in the low foothills to the northwest of Port Douglas. The beans are then hand crafted in Mission Beach Queensland into a superb chocolate. The beans are carefully roasted at 120°C and then conched for over 50 hours to produce a dark chocolate with an intense rich flavour and nutty highlights.

Enjoy with coffee, red wine or by itself.

This product is gluten free and suitable for vegans.

We do NOT use palm oil, palm oil derivatives, flavours, stabilisers or flavour enhancers. The only ingredients are: Cocoa beans, cocoa butter, sugar and a tiny amount of soy lecithin.

    My favourite Charley's Chocolate

    We recently tried the Shannonvale at the Easter Saturday Charley's Farm Tour. I loved it a bought a bar. That quickly disappeared and I recently purchased the value pack of 3 bars. This chocolate is truly delicious. Deep, dark complex flavours all made with beans grown right in Mission Beach. Yum.

    The only one better was the first I've tried made from New Ireland sourced beans. The Shannonvale is creamy and rich without bitterness - a dark chocolate for (good) milk chocolate fanciers. These comments are from a shareholder in the business.
