In Australia, cocoa only grows in a narrow coastal strip of Tropical North Queensland. This is the home of Charley’s!

The beans for this multi award winning chocolate are grown in the rich soil of our Mount Edna plantation, Mission Beach. They are carefully crafted to produce a very complex dark chocolate, full of distinctive flavour with whisky and raisin notes.

Single Origin means that the cocoa beans come only from a specified region and are not blended with others, similar to fine wine. In mass produced chocolate these differences in flavour and aroma are “blended out”. In our “Origin” chocolate we celebrate these differences as we bring you a unique product.

Savour this chocolate and you’ll notice that the flavours will linger pleasantly on your palate. It also teams beautifully with wine, spirits, coffee and stout. Fine chocolate is one of life’s ultimate food experiences. Enjoy!

This Chocolate has won numerous Medals, Trophies, and awards. Here is what the judges at the Australian Fine Food Awards said: “Excellent product, a complex chocolate full of distinctive flavour with whisky notes”

Ingredients: Dark Chocolate 100% Made from Cocoa beans (Australia), Sugar (Australia), Cocoa butter (Venezuela or Peru), Soy Lecithin (Germany). Dark chocolate contains 70% cocoa solids

Allergy Advice: Contains Soy. Made on equipment that also processes tree nuts (Macadamias)

Storage: Best refrigerated, then allow to warm slightly before enjoying.

This product is gluten free and suitable for Vegans. We do NOT use palm oil, palm oil derivatives, flavours, stabilisers or flavour enhancers

I have gifted friends and family with this beautiful product. And everyone of them has made sure they thanked me afterwards. The Quality actually reflects Seven Star Quality not 5 stars.

The sophisticated chocolate

An extremely mild and subtly flavoured dark chocolate. Chamomile and dilute saffron aromatics. Initially seemed to have a cardboard-like aroma. Gentle and delicate flavours with an aftertaste hinting at almonds. Again no bitterness. Markedly different from a commercial semi-bitter 70% chocolate.

A delicate light caramel flavour with very faint desiccated coconut touches. “Soft” chocolate flavours and again smooth textured. With a saline touch on palate at the end which lifts the finish.

Not the usual excellent standard. Dry and crumbly in mouth, did not have the depth of taste.

The chocolate from this years beans is sensational. Sufficiently complex to appeal to lovers of complex dark chocolate but sufficiently creamy to appeal to everyone else
